- Mr. Costello Dies Monday At His Home
Ill For Five Weeks as Result of Bright's Disease,
Michael Costello Succumbs
Michael Costello, an estimable resident of Marinette for nearly forty years and a gold star father, died late Monday afternoon at his home, 1131 Parnell Street. The final illness covered a period of five weeks.
For eight years, Mr. Costello had been janitor at the Stephenson Public Library.
The decedent was born in County Cork, Ireland, sixty-two {sixty-five} years ago. When twenty-two years old, he arrived in Green Bay and after a short stay there, came to Marinette, where he had since resided. He was married to Miss Mary Sommers thirty years ago on January 8 in Green Bay.
The survivors are the widow Mary Costello; children Joseph and Ellen (twins), Maurice of Milwaukee; George, Margaret, James and Charles. A son Michael Jr. fell in the Argonne {France} forest battle during the late world war.
Joseph Costello is a member of the merchant marine and pending word from him, the funeral arrangements have not been completed.
Mrs. Sommers Costello is a sister of Mrs. Joseph Carrigan, Mrs. William Newcomb and James Sommers of this city.
Mr. Costello was a member of Branch 5, Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.
