- Philip James Van Beek, 53, of Shiloh, IL., born in Chateraux, France passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014. Mr. Van Beek was the owner of Philip James Piano Studio. He was a gifted musician, piano composer, and instructor. He was a loving friend and family member.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry E. and Mary Ann T., nee Murphy, Van Beek; a brother Ronald L Van Beek.
Surviving are sisters Nancy (Larry) Roderman, Joie Maeras (Tyler Wadsworth); nieces and nephews; Karla (Shane) Martin, Lindsay (Chris) Holt, Aaron (Mona) Brewer, Rachael Moake (Jerod Hendricks), Roger Bieri, and Damon Van Beek. Also, survived by other relatives, family and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will he held at noon, on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at the funeral home, Inurnment will follow in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois
