- Swanningson, Regina (Verhagen) Appleton Post Crescent dated 1/7/1997; Mrs. Walter Swanningson, Regina Verhagen, age 78, died Sunday, January 5th, 1997 at St. Elizabeths hospital. She was born January 19th, 1918 in Kaukauna the daughter of Louis and Catherine (Bergman) Verhagen. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church. She is survived by a son and daughter in law; Roger and Evon Swanningson, of Kaukauna; two daughters and sons in law: Evelyn and Gerald Schmidt, of Brillion; Debbie and Ray VanWychen, of Kaukauna; two daughters in law, Ann Swanningson, of Kaukauna; Carol Swanningson, of Little Chute; 16 grandchildren: Tony (Sherry) Swanningson, Kristi Swanningson; Bernard (Janet) Schmidt, Fred (Kari) Schmidt, David (Holly) Schmidt, Keith Schmidt, Carl Schmitt, Henry Schmidt, Lori Tessen, Sara (Marty) Juneau; Andy, Amy and Brian VanWychen, Robert (Laurie) Swanningson; Lisa (Tim) Young; Rick Swanningson; 14 great-grandchildren: Corey Swanningson, Daniel, Katie and Erin Schnidt; Ashleigh and Jordan Schmidt, Arianna and Brayden Schmidt, Jacqueline and Travis Tessen, Alexander Juneau, Amanda Young; Robbie and Derek Swanningson; three brothers and two sisters in law: Ervin and Dorothy Verhagen, of Kaukauna of Eugene and Rita Verhagen, of Kaukauna; Jerome Verhagen of Waupaca; two sisters, Joanne Fink, of Algoma; Rose Kramer, of Appleton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter and 1988; two sons: Robert and Richard Swanningson: two brothers: Melvin and Steve Verhagen: and two brothers in law: Clarence Fink and Bill Kramer. The mass of resurrection will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Father Irvin Udulutsch officiating. Burial will be an Holy Cross cemetery, Kaukauna.
