    • Luxemburg - Beatrice M. Salentine, 83, Luxemburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by family members on Friday, August 2, 2019. She was born in New Franken on May 18, 1936, to the late Peter J. and Rose (Kaczmarowski) Beyer. On October 15, 1955, Beatrice married Donald R. Salentine at St. Kilian Church, New Franken. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2013. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Luxemburg and a member of the St. Mary Christian Mother Society. Bea was very proud of the relationship she had with her pen-pal Joan, from New Zealand, corresponding for nearly 50 years. Her enjoyments included the annual family fall booyah event, cooking, baking, music and playing cards. Most importantly she was a woman of strong faith and values, passing this along to her family and friends.

      Bea was preceded in death by two daughters, Diane Schleis and Barbara Strnad; two brothers, Richard Beyer, Gerald Beyer; three sisters, infant Rose, Bernadine (Edwin) Decker, Eleanor Martin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, infant John, Milton (Betty) Salentine, Audrey Destree, Marcella (Edward) Salmon, Marian (Leo) Salmon, Helen (Donald) Peot; her father-in-law and her mother-in-law, John and Anna (Oberhofer) Salentine.

      Friends may call 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1412 Main Street, Luxemburg. Parish rosary 7:00 pm on Tuesday with Deacon Bob Miller. Visitation will continue between 9:30 and 10:45 am on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. Funeral 11:00 am, Wednesday, at the church, with Rev.
