      Age 97, died at 1 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 1994. She was born January 19, 1897 in Freedom, the daughter of late Arnold and Rose (Dowell) Verstegen. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and a member of the St. Elizabeth Society. Survivors include five daughters: Rosilie St. Louis, Appleton; Rita Lalley, California; Verna and Gerald Sigl, Little Chute; Betty and Ed Sturm Little Chute; Ione and Tom Geurts, Freedom; two sons: Mervin and Doris DeBruin, Little Chute; Ronald and Carol DeBruin, Little Chute; two sisters: Frances Weyenberg, Appleton; Stella Liebergen, Appleton; 24 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry in 1967; three sisters: Blanche, Marie and Rena; and a brother, Orville. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday from St. John Catholic Church with the Rev. John Doerfler officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 3 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the services. The Verkuilen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
