- Mrs. Rose Lisowe, 96, a former Kiel resident, died Friday afternoon at Willowdale Nursing Home, New Holstein, where she had resided the past four years.
The former Rose Leitner was born April 30, 1883, in Charlesburg, the daughter of Engelbert and Theresia Nadler Leitner. She attended School at Jericho. On Nov. 25, 1902 she was married to Peter Lisowe. The couple farmed at Jericho until 1940 when Mr. Lisowe died. Mrs. Lisowe then moved to Kiel. She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, its Christian Mothers Society, the Kiel Frauenverein and the Kiel Senior Citizens.
Survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Hugo (Leona) Herzog of Chilton, Mrs. Lester (Veronica) Konz of Kiel, Mrs. Hugo (Celia) Graf of Plymouth, Mrs. Louie (Loretta) Enders of Collins, Mrs. Sylvester (Mildred) Albler of St. Cloud and Mrs. Barbara Mihm of Mount Calvary; a son, Leander of Manitowoc; 21 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Four sons, a daughter, a grandson, a great granddaughter, four sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
The Rev. Francis Kerscher, pastor celebrated a funeral Mass on Tuesday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Chilton.
