- John Benzinger, 69, of 506 Washington St., Mishicot, died early Sunday
evening at St. Luke Hospital, Milwaukee.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Deja and Martin Funeral
Chapels, Two Rivers, and at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic church,
Mishicot, the Rev. Earl Brouchoud officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross
Cemetery, Mishicot.
Mr. Benzinger was born April 7, 1904, in the Town of Mishicot, son of the
late John and Frances Hess Benzinger. He married Caroline Buenzow Oct. 12,
1925, at Two Rivers and farmed most of his life at Mishicot. A member of the
Mishicot Knights of Columbus and Holy Cross Holy Name Society, he was also a
salesman for Catholic Knights Insurance, Mishicot Town Mutual and Eastwin Town
Mutual.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, seven daughters, a brother, Arthur,
of Two Rivers; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Lawrence, of Manitowoc, Mrs. Frances
Schwartz, of Milwaukee and Mrs. Leo Deja, of Two Rivers; 36 grandchildren and
a great-grandchild. (Survivors edited for living people)
Friends may call from 5 to 9 o'clock this Tuesday evening at the funeral
chapels. Memorial Service will be at 7:30 o'clock.
