      Rosalie E. Bernardy
Rosalie E. Bernardy, 80, of Porterfield, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, July 5. She was born in Marinette to the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph (Marie Behnke) Schuchart on Aug. 30, 1924.

A 1941 graduate of Marinette High School, she attended the Marinette Vocational School taking business courses and worked for the Lloyd Manufacturing Company in Menominee as a secretary. On Sept. 30, 1950, she married Warren J. Bernardy at St. Anthony's Church in Marinette and together began to raise their family. When the children had all reached school age, she went back to work as a secretary, first at Manpower Inc. for three years, and then with Scott Paper for an additional eight years. As an active member of St. Joseph's Church in Walsh, she sang in the choir for 55 years and was a member of The Christian Mothers. She regularly volunteered for the American Red Cross and Luther Home.

She is survived by her husband; two sons Jeff (Lenore) of Oshkosh and Jack (Barb) of De Pere; three daughters, Mrs. Kim (Janice) Eggener of Green Bay, Joanne Lane of Omro, and Mrs. Dan (Jennifer) Larson of Stiles; a brother Joseph "Bub" Schuchart of Waupaca; a sister Elaine Kloida of Marinette and 13 grandchildren.

Besides her parents, two brothers, Dan and Frank Schuchart, preceded her in death.

Friends may call at St. Joseph's Church in Walsh on Friday, July 8, from 9 am until 11 am at which time a Funeral Mass will be celebrated with the Rev. Fr. Jim Massart officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Walsh. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
