- Appleton, Wisconsin - James William Haase, age 69, passed away unexpectedly on January 22, 2019 at Thedacare Regional Medical Center- Appleton. Jim was born to the late Roland and Leone (Captain) Haase in Appleton on November 30, 1949. He was united in marriage to Susan Playman on June 26, 1976 in Appleton and together spent 43 wonderful years together. Jim has been enjoying retirement 2006.
Jim enjoyed traveling (especially to Hawaii, Yellowstone, Door County and Waupaca) and spending time with his many friends, neighbors and Hanks Crew. Jim and his son Billy were devout Packer Season Ticket holders, braving the elements…no matter what. Jim was the life of the party, welcomed everyone and loved life. Most of all, Jim was a fantastic husband and father. He loved his family more than anything.
Jim is survived and will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Susan; son, Billy (Amanda); siblings, Barbara (special friend, Rosie) Haase, Tom (Sue) and Rick; also many other family and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his daughter, Jamie and a sister-in-law, Nancy Haase.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held at 6 PM on Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Wichmann-Fargo Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton, WI 54915. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home from 4 PM until the time of service.
Jim's family asks that the next time you grill and/or are having a drink, to please remember him and smile.
