      J.D. PECARD DEAD AT 57
      James D. Pecard, 57 of 1902 Tenth St. died unexpectedly Saturday afternoo n at Marinette General Hospital. Born in Oconto County on March 8, 1920 , he was a graduate of Oconto Falls High School and served in the Navy fr om 1940-48. When he was discharged he moved to Marinette. He was employ ed at Menominee Paper Co. On Sept. 7, 1946 he married the former Bernic e McCabe in Marinette. Mr. Pecard was a member of Sacred Heart Church.
      Surviving with his wife are three sons, James of Madison, Dale of Marinet te, Randy at home; a daughter, Mrs. James LaCrosse of Marinette; a brothe r, Howard of Milwaukee; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Hansen and Mrs. Georgin e Cowan, both of Suring, Mrs. Susan Steffeck of Lena and three grandchild ren.
      Friends may call at the Thielen Funeral Home from 4 until 9 p.m. today . A wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Final rites will be at 11 a.m . Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. Roger Strebel will officiated . Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
