JOY A. CARVIOU
Joy A. Carviou, 52, of 10324 Diamond Road, Whitelaw, died peacefully Thursday evening, February 8, 2007, with her family and friends at her side following a courageous battle with cancer and kidney failure at Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County. Joy was born March 9, 1954, in Marinette, daughter of the late Donald and Florence "Tina" Francour Carviou.
She was a 1972 graduate of Mishicot High School. Joy worked for 31 years at Hamilton Mfg. of Two Rivers retiring in 2004 due to illness. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. Joy loved to knit and to go out to breakfast and lunch with her friends.
Joy is survived by three sisters and one brother-in-law: Candy (Glenn) Vandenhouten of Two Rivers, Gail Carviou of Whitelaw, and Tracy Carviou of Whitelaw; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Dale (Doreen) Carviou of Mishicot, Thomas (Nancy) Carviou of Escanaba, Mich., and Ray (Theresa) Carviou of Whitelaw; her three Godchildren: Adam Vandenhouten, Andy Carviou and Hope Carviou; three of her special friends: Brenda Pribek, Cheryl Link and Karen Gerondale; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one niece.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 12, 2007, at ST. ANNE CATHOLIC CHURCH in Francis Creek. The Rev. Paul Paider will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the REINBOLD AND PFEFFER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME of Kellnersville, on Sunday, February 11, 2007, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Sr. Jean Herman will conduct a prayer service on Sunday evening at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
