      Age 67, passed away Tuesday afternoon following a one day illness. He was born April 6, 1897 in Wrighstown and lived in DePere before moving to the Twin Cities in 1931. He was formerly employed by the Marathon Corp. Mr. Coenen was a member of St. Patrick Church and the Holy Name Society. He was a World War I veteran, a member of the American Legion for over 40 years and was now a member of the Lenz-Gazecki Post. Survivors are his wife, mary; weight brothers, Peter and Henry and Harvey, all of Kaukauna; Joseph, Colma, Wis.; Ray, Appleton; Richard, Greenleaf; Walter and Uban, both of DePere; five sisters, Mrs. Anna P. Enbert, DePere; Mrs. John Pitsch, Kaukauna; Mrs. Fred Bengart, Little Chute; Mrs. L. Purrier, Larsen, Wis.; Mrs. Henry Jansen, Appleton. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Kessler Funeral Home, Neenah with a Requiem Solemn High Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic church. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday where the rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside.
