    • Mary Beth Hawley, age 65, of Oshkosh, passed away at her home on Monday, March 28, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born on July 20, 1950 in Appleton, WI to the late Ervin and Dorothy (VanZeeland) Verhagen. Mary was married to Leonard Hawley on August 30, 1969 in Kaukauna, WI.

She was a graduate from Kaukauna High School and went on to be a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother that always cared more about others than herself.

Mary was an active member of her church, as she was a cantor, part of the choir, a member of Christ Child Society, and volunteered with numerous church activities. Mary enjoyed coaching her son's soccer teams, playing piano, knitting, cross-stitching, tending to her gardens and maintaining her roses. Some of Mary's favorite activities were painting, golfing, walking on the beach, and especially being with her family.

Mary is survived by her husband: Leonard Hawley; three sons: Brad (Michele), Scott (Anne), and Matt (Kimberly) Hawley; sisters: Sandra Gaimari, Joyce Schuh, Barb Schuh, Judy Zierler, and Colleen Geske; brothers: Keith, Mark, and Bruce Verhagen; and grandchildren: Liza, Ella, Josh, Parker, Eli, Nicole, and Jacob Hawley. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A mass of Christian Burial will take place for Mary at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016 at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic church (830 S. Westhaven Dr.) with Fr. Doug LeCaptain officiating. Visitation will be held at church from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made out to the American Cancer Society or to Bella Medical Clinic in Mary's name.
