- Edward J. Bohman, age 91 of Hortonville, died peacefully at his home with family by his side of natural causes.
Ed was born on August 11, 1922, in the same house he passed in, the son of Anton and Regina (Pritzl) Bohman. After growing up on the family farm, Ed traveled the country working numerous jobs including picking apples in Washington State, sawing logs in Oregon, bartending in Montana, and working with threshing crews in South Dakota. Throughout the years Ed was a gravedigger for local cemeteries and sold his apples, jellies and Margaret's pies in Black Creek. He officially retired from farming at the age of 90.
Ed enjoyed fishing, trapping, hunting, yearly trips west, spending time with his family, and most of all, watching the kids play at the pond. Ed was a man of great faith.
