    • AUTO CAMP OWNER DIED SUDDENLY ON THURSDAY
Funeral Services Saturday for LeRoy Chandler, of Pine Grove Tavern

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock last Saturday afternoon from the H. E. Dillinger mortuary for LeRoy Chandler, operator of Pine Grove Tavern in Upper Placerville, who passed away on Thursday of last week following a sudden heart attack.
The body was removed following the services to Sacramento where cremation took place and final interment was at Oakland.
Mr. Chandler had been in failing health for several years. His sudden death proved a shock to his many friends for his condition had not been announced as especially chronic and only a day or so before his passing he was seen in the business section.
Born in Pennsylvania October 8, 1873, Chandler had been a Californian for seven years, three years of which were spent in Placerville. During his residence here he had actively participated in a number of the undertakings of the El Dorado County chamber of commerce and at the chamber meeting Monday night, a resolution of condolence and sympathy was voted.
In addition to the widow and a daughter, Charlotte, he is survived by a sister, Mae Chandler, and other more distant relatives at Oakland. [Mountain Democrat November 21, 1930]
