    • Dorothy M. Hare, 85, Green Bay, died Wednesday evening, February 5, 2014, at a local nursing home. Born November 11, 1928, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Norbert and Myrtle (Conlon) Young. Dorothy is a graduate of East High School. She worked for Brown County Family Services, Green Bay School District and finished her career as a long-time employee with the City of Green Bay. After her retirement, Dorothy volunteered for many organizations including Unity Hospice and the Salvation Army. She was an active member of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral for many years where she loved giving of her time. Dorothy enjoyed reading, gardening, staying physically active and keeping her mind sharp by attending various classes through Learning in Retirement at UWGB. Dorothy's family, both immediate and extended, were always so very important to her.

      Dorothy is survived by five children, Mike (Joan) Hare of Hayward, Jeanne (John) O'Brien of San Antonio, TX, Mark Hare (Mike Newman) of Falls Church, VA, Maria (Mitch) Olig of Delafield, WI, and Nick (Heather Wetzler) Hare of Santa Monica, CA; grandchildren, Alicia (Jeff) Dessner, Nate Hare, Haley Olig, and MacKenzie O'Brien; three great-grandchildren, Max, Ellie and Jackson Dessner; four siblings, Elaine Smeester, Richard (Elaine) Young, Robert (Mary) Young, all of Green Bay, and Sharon (Terry) Young-Burke of Middleton, WI; many nieces and nephews.

      Also preceded in death by brother, Wayne Patrick "Pat" Young; sister, Mary Lamal; and brothers-in-law, Bernie Lamal and Don Smeester.

      Visitation at St. Philip the Apostle Church, 312 Victoria Street, Monday, from 9:30am until the time of the funeral. Memorial Mass, 10:30am Monday at the church with the Rev. Ralph C.
