    • Russell H. Dercks, Little Chute, age 83, passed away Tuesday March 20, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Russ was born in Little Chute December 12, 1928, a son of the late Nick and Rose (Jansen) Dercks. He married Myra Van Zeeland on December 28, 1948 at St. Paul Parish in Combined Locks. Russ was employed at Asten Forming Fabrics for 42 years before retiring in 1991. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting, playing cards, woodworking and his time spent up north with family and friends. Russ was a lifelong member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church.

      Russ is survived by his wife of 63 years, Myra; five sons: David (Norma), Sussex; Michael (Barb), Sobieski; Tom (Deb), Menasha; Terry (Lori), Little Chute; and Dennis (Jennifer), Seymour; one daughter, Becky (Ron) Glenn, Colorado Springs; and 21 grandchildren: Kim Suess, Tammy Leurquin, Laura (Scott) Henderson, Renee Dercks-Engels, Josh and Jeremy Glenn, Jessica (Zac) Christiansen, Amanda (Eric) Bestul, Scott, Michael (Stacy), Ben, Chad, George, Jesse (Kathy), Danielle, Zach, Elijah and Hannah Dercks, Lynn Ellsberg, Laura Becker and Cindy (Dan) Trecek. He is further survived by 21 great grandchildren; a brother Tom (Margaret); three sisters: Irene Verhagen, Dolores (Duane) Vanderloop and Joan (Lefty) Geurts; and sisters-in-law: Ann, Clare and Bernice Dercks, Donata Wolfgram and Ione Brecklin. Also Gary and Linda Diedrich; four Godchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

      In addition to his parents, Russ was preceded in death by his grandson, Joey Glenn; his granddaughter's husband, Chris Leurquin; five sisters: Julia (Cyril) Reichel, Mutzie (Virgil) Helms, Eleanor Mahn and Laverne Dercks; four brothers: Paul, Eugene, Roger and Harold (Lily); and brother-in-law: Mark Verhagen. He was also preceded in death by Myra's parents William and Anna (Behling) Van Zeeland; and Myra's four brothers and six sisters.

      Visitation will be held on Monday March 26, 2012 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 S. Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 12:00 Noon. The Rev.
