Age 51, died Sunday evening at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center. She was born March 24, 1936 in Appleton, the daughter of John F. and Germaine Micke Lamers. She was a 1954 graduate of Kimberly High School and had been a Neenah area resident for the past 30 years. She was employed as a teacher's aide at Spring Road School. She was a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church. She was very active in church and school activities. She married Franklin Murphy on May 11, 1957 in Kimberly. Survivors include her husband; her parents, Kimberly; five daughters and four sons-in-law: Mary Kay and Todd Harrieid, Tempe, Arizona; Joanne and Steven Baldauf, Neenah; Sharon and Kevin Rohde, Evanston, Illinois; Susan, Madison; Jeanne and Steven Coenen, Tempe, Arizona; a son, Jeffrey, at home; a sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Michael Hughes, Brookfield; five brothers and sisters-in-law: Reg and Shirley Lamers, Lysle, Illinois; Jerry and June, Sun Prairie; Jack and Judy, Dayton, Ohio; Donald and Sue, Naperville, Illinois; Bill and Leslie, Jackson, Tennessee; a granddaughter, Megan Baldauf; her mother and father-in-law: Frank and Beatrice Murphy, Appleton; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Marvin Murphy and Ruth Ann Heater, Appleton; Jerry and Jan Murphy, Appleton; David and Donna Murphy, Neenah; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Ryan Murphy on May 9, 1980. The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Westgor Funeral Home, and at 12 noon at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, with the Revs. Michael E. Betley, Jeff Vanden Heuvel and Lawrence Stingle officiating. Burial will be in St. Margaret's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Westgor Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a service of the wake at 8 p.m. A memorial in her memory has been established for the Neenah High School Music Department.
