- Junior M. "Moe" Van Lanen, Kaukauna, age 84, died Monday October 10, 2011 at Parkside Care Center. He was born in Kaukauna on May 25, 1927 to the late Albert and Delia (Peters) Van Lanen. Moe served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a member of both the Kaukauna V.F.W. Post 3319 and the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post 258. His hobbies included fishing and card playing. He was a member of Holy Cross Parish. Moe owned and operated Van's Upholstery in Kaukauna until his retirement.
Moe is survived by his sisters Dolores Feldkamp and Vivian (Jack) Schaefer; sister-in-law Mary Jean Van Lanen; his card and fishing buddies; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Moe was preceded in death by his brothers: Richard (Mary) and Eugene Van Lanen.
Visitation will be held Thursday October 13, 2011 at HOLY CROSS PARISH (309 Desnoyer St. Kaukauna) beginning at 2 p.m. until time of Mass at 4 p.m. The Rev. Thomas Pomeroy will officiate. Military honors conducted by the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post 258 will immediately follow. Committal Holy Cross Cemetery. For on-line condolences please visit www.oconnellfh.com.
