      Hartjes, Olive P. Olive P. Hartjes, Grand Chute, age 92, passed away on Wednesday morning, October 3, 2007, at Brewster Village. She was born on April 25, 1915, in Manawa, WI, to the late Floyd and Helen (Wolden) Joslin. On July 12, 1935, she married Victor U. Hartjes in Waukegan, IL. He preceded her in death. Upon completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant program at FVTC she worked as a CNA for about 20 years at Kaukauna Sanatorium. She was a member of the Kimberly Homemakers Club and enjoyed making quilts, pillows, stuffed animals, and crocheting afghans.

      She will be sadly missed by her children: Nancy Pierce, Appleton; Norm Hartjes, Appleton; Nola (Jerry) Kusserow, Manawa; Don (Barb) Hartjes, Kewaunee; Christy McCall, Appleton; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She is further survived by her sister Lila Pariza, Rialto, CA; and a brother-in-law Frank Bregar, Albuquerque, NM.

      In addition to her parents and her husband Victor, she was preceded in death by two sisters.

      A memorial service for Olive will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, October 5, 2007, at Church of Christ (2600 North Mason Street) with Rev. John Mooney officiating. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in Highland Memorial Park.

      The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Brewster Village for the loving care given to Olive during her stay.
