- Paul Halbach, 81, of R. 2 Elkhart Lake, a Town of Russell farmer, died at his home Sunday morning.
He was born April 13, 1888, at Marytown, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Halbach, and was married to Margaret Bauer of Woodville May 23, 1912 at S. John
They lived in Marytown for three years and in 1916 moved to the present farm in the Town of Russell. they observed their golden wedding anniversary in May 1962
Mr. Halbach was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, St. Anna, and the Holy Name Society of the parish.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter Mrs. Ervin (Laurina) Schmitz, R. 2 Elkhart Lake; two sons, Edward R. 2 Elkhart Lake, and Gilbert, rural Malone; 21 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mary Stephanie, Fond du Lac, and three brothers, Henry, New Holstein, Vincent, rural Malone, and John, Fond du Lac.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, and 10 o'clock at St. Ann Church withe Rev. Cyril Van Heeswk, pastor, as celebrant of the funeral Mass.Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
