    • Marjorie Peerenboom (nee Menting), age 72, of Combined Locks, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Appleton Medical Center. Marjorie was born on January 3, 1942, in Combined Locks to the late Raymond M. and Dorothy J. (Williams) Menting. She married Jim Peerenboom on September 1, 1962, in Combined Locks, and they enjoyed 51 years together. Marge was employed at the Outagamie Court House; Van Elzen's Apple Orchard; The Institute of Paper Chemistry and Lawrence University. Since 1985, Gym and Marge owned and operated Peerenboom's Bar in Kimberly.

      Marge was a life-long member of Holy Spirit/Holy Name Catholic Church, was well-known for her volunteering and involvement in her children's lives. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mom truly enjoyed Christmas with her family, spending a great deal of time and effort to make each Christmas special and unique. Marge was a Packer fan, enjoyed reading, gardening and gaming, but was best known as a HUGE Brewers fan. With Gym she spent many enjoyable weekends at their cottage on Pelican Lake.

      Survivors include her children, Abbie Carney; James Jr. "Edgy" (Tina) Peerenboom; and John (Gidget) Peerenboom; her grandchildren, Chelsea, Mitchell and Molly Carney, Zach and Chelsea Micke, Danielle, Derek and JP Peerenboom, Steven Scott, Emma and Lily Peerenboom; her brothers, Raymond (Jane) Menting and James (Judith) Menting; her sister, Karen (Lyle) Vandenberg; her sister-in-law, Julie Menting-Edgerton; her sisters-in-law, Betty Peerenboom, Irene (Russell) Tiedemann, Joyce Mader, Mary Lou (Buck) Fairchild and Carol (Tom) Bogenschutz; her brothers-in-law, Bernie (Mary Jo) Van Roy, Hank (Jan) Peerenboom, Tom (Shari) Peerenboom. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Michael Menting; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald (Dorothy) Peerenboom, Clarence Peerenboom, Eugene "Chesty" Peerenboom, Rita Van Roy, Marlene Peerenboom, Carl Peerenboom, and Barbara Peerenboom; and her father and mother-in-law, Marie and Henry Peerenboom; and her Goddaughter, Amy Merckx.

      The Funeral Liturgy will be at Noon on Monday, March 17, 2014, at HOLY SPIRIT/HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Fr. Bob Kollath officiating. The visitation will be at the church on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. There will be a Bible Vigil on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the church. Respecting Marge's enthusiasm for her favorite team, Brewers attire is welcome and encouraged at both services.
