    • Mrs. Cora Willems, 51
      Born 2-9-1884, Died 9-3-1936

      Mrs. Cora Willems, 51, who had been a cook at St. Norbert college the past 12 years, died Wednesday night in her sleep of a cerebral hemorrhage in her house on the campus; she was found dead in bed Thursday morning. She was the widow of Henry Willems and is survived by a son, Chris; two daughters, Regina and Helen; two sisters, Mrs. Theodore Kocken of West De Pere and Mrs. John Wellens of Rockland; and two brothers, Martin Cornelissen of Lawrence and Albert of Oneida. Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's church Saturday morning, solemn requiem high mass being offered by the Right Rev. B. H. Pennings, assisted by Fathers Keefe and Wagner as deacon and subdeacon and Father Alger as master of ceremonies. Interment was in Mount Calvary cemetery. Pallbearers were Neil, Arnold and Gilbert Willems, Christ Kocken, Antone Wellens and Lloyd Cornelissen. Those from outside who attended the last services were: Louis Weyers of Wisconsin Rapids, Louis DeBoth of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. John Farrell and George Weyers of Freedom and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Giehen and daughter of Mackville.
