    • George Schuh Sr., 64, of Clarks Mils died Monday night at Holy Family Hospital Manitowoc, without regaining consciousness. He had suffered a stroke earlier in the
      day while at work at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc.
      Funeral arrangements are incomplete pending word from a son serving with the U.S. Navy off Australia. Final arrangements will be announced later by Berge Funeral Home.

      He was born Feb. 14, 1893, in Brillion, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schuh Sr. On June 27, 1917, he married the former Blanche McCulley of Clarks Mills and operated a blacksmith shop there for many years before going to the
      shipyards at Manitowoc where he had been employed since. He was past president of the Wisconsin Blacksmith and Welders; president of the local blacksmiths union
      and a charter member of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills.

      Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Harstworm of Appleton, Mrs. Beatrice Dornaus of Manitowoc, Mrs. Grace Torrison of Valders, Mrs. Marge Pivonka of Clarks Mills and Mrs. Susan Peterson of Flint, Mich., six sons, John and James of Clarks Mills, George Jr., of Evansville, Ind., Harold of Tuscoma, Ill., Charles of Oconomowoc, and Walter of the U.S. Navy; six brothers, Alec, Nick and Ray of Manitowoc, Joseph of Clarks Mills, Henry of Kiel and Ral[ph of Grimms; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Barbier and Mrs. Milton Deubler of Manitowoc and Mrs.
      Mary Sepre of Eagle River, Wis.; and 30 grandchildren.
