      John New ton Burhans Passes Away Yesterday - Funeral At 2 O'clock Tomorrow Afternoon.
      Appleton, Wis., Friday, Nov. 27,
      John Newton Burhans, aged 79 years, passed away at about 9:30 o'clock yesterday mornign at the home of his son, Henry Burhans, 569 Lincoln street.
      The decedent has been in failing health for several months and his demise is ascribed to heart failure.
      J. H. Burhans was born at Cavenovia, N.Y., where he spent the early days of his life and followed his vocation, that of a paper-maker. He came to Appleton about fifty years ago and had been a continuous resident of this city since that time. For a number of yeas he had made his home with his son, Henry Burhans. Surviving are three sons and one daughter. They ar: Frank, Henry and Mrs. Myrtle Gerry of this city and Channing of Park Falls. The funeral service will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Burhans residence, 569 Lincoln street. The Rev. John Faville will conduct the Service. Interment will be made at Riverside Cemetery.
