    • Paul Demerath, son of Philipp Demerath and Maria Anna Katharina Weber, married Gertrude Thull, born in Allscheid. Paul and Gertrude and their 5 children lived in Allscheid. The people in Allscheid were very poor. In 1852 in Allscheid lived in 18 houses 80 people, young and old. They hoped for a better life in the New World, the United States, sold the village Allscheid to the city council of Steiningen and then emigrated almost all residents to the USA.
