Notes - In 1946, Lambert Schommer opened Essential Products Corporation. He manufactured machinery parts that were used in equipment that was needed for the war. He also made garbage cans with flip-top lids. Essential Products is still in business today owned by Bruce Schommer (Lambert's son) and now by my uncles on the Schommer side. It is now known as EZ Glide Garage Doors.
