    • Leonard C. Meyer, age 78, of Plymouth, WI passed away early Friday afternoon (Nov. 20, 2015) at Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center where he had been a patient the past 5 days.

      He was born on February 15, 1937 in Port Washington, WI, a son of the late Gilbert and Rose (Schuessler) Meyer.

      He attended St. Mary's School in Port Washington.

      Leonard served in the United States Army from 1959-1965.

      On May 17, 1960, he married Darlene Aupperle at St. Mary's Rectory in Port Washington.

      He farmed near Random Lake and the Town of Plymouth for several years and also worked construction. He later was employed at Kohler Company, retiring in 2002.

      Leonard was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth and belonged to the Kohler Quarter Century Club.

      He loved farming, being outdoors, and building. Leonard enjoyed sharing all of these passions with loved ones, and was always there to help guide and teach you about them.

      Survivors Include: Eight children: Melvin (Cheryl) Meyer of Waldo, Clemence Meyer of Chicago, IL, Frederick (Pam) Meyer of Cascade, Tom (Kim) Meyer of Kiel, David Meyer of Plymouth, Mary Meyer of Plymouth, Daniel (Marie) Meyer of Plymouth and Tina Enders of Fond du Lac, WI; 21 Grandchildren and 31 Great Grandchildren; One Brother: Eugene (Mary) Meyer of Port Washington; Three Sister-in-laws: Mary Ann Meyer of Newton, Carol Meyer and Loretta Meyer both of Fredonia.

      Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

      He was preceded in death by One son: Lawrence Meyer and one infant daughter: Theresa Meyer; Four brothers: Theodore, Gilbert, George and Joseph Meyer.

      Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday Evening (Nov. 24) at 6:00 P.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Dan Volkert, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

      Friends and relatives may call at the CHURCH from 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday until the time of services.

      The Plymouth VFW World Cheese Center Post # 5612 will conduct military rites at the Church following the services.

      In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Leonard's name.
