- hirley Mae Krumpos, 83, of De Pere, went to be with her true love, Lawrence, on Valentine's Day morning, Friday, February 14, 2014. The daughter of the late Henry A. and Lillian (Kralapp) Baeten was born on July 29, 1930 in Green Bay. On August 9, 1952, Shirley married Larry Krumpos at St. Boniface Catholic Church in De Pere. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2013.
Shirley was a member of the St. Boniface Christian Mothers, a busy mother, and grandmother. She was also a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family in De Pere. She would never turn down sweets, especially Twinkies and Cheetos, as well as her little chocolate bars. Shirley liked to go to rummage sales on the weekends, spend time at the cottage on Lake Noquebay, and bake. She also loved to attend her children, and now her grandchildren's sporting events. Proud of her green thumb, she took good care of her rose bushes as well as her garden. Shirley enjoyed waking up each morning to a hot cup of tea and a good bowl of oatmeal as she and Larry watched the birds and squirrels from the kitchen window. She had a great gift of gab, which anyone who knew her could surely attest to.
Survivors include her children, Dr. Gerald Lawrence and Debbie Krumpos, Portage, Lori Ann and Brad Linzmeier, Wrightstown, Lynn Theresa and Curtis Greaves, De Pere, Lisa Mary and Charles Krcma, Albertville, MN, eleven grandchildren, Gabe, Amanda, Sam, Eddie, Brianna, Brooke, Corey, Kyle, Nathan, Matthew, and Bethany. Two sister in laws Mae Williams, Rose Koenig.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and one son, Jeffrey, as well as Larry's family.
Friends and family may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere from 4 - 7pm Sunday, February 16, 2014. A parish prayer service will be held at 4pm. Visitation will continue after 9am Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, corner of Suburban Drive at Lourdes Avenue, De Pere until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am with Father Tim Shillcox, O. Praem., officiating. Burial will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Please visit www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences to the Krumpos family.
