    • Marlene Lyons, age 68, of Appleton, passed away at Cherry Meadows Hospice on May 24, 2013. Marlene was born in Bear Creek on December 8, 1944, daughter of the late Robert and Joyce (Muthig) Balthazor. On October 20, 1962, she married Jerry Lyons, and together the couple enjoyed fifty years together. They raised two daughters: Leann (David) Roth of Harrison and their son Austin; and Kara Wiesner of Oshkosh and her children Brody and Xander. She is also survived by two brothers: Calvin (Peggy) Balthazor of Colorado and Rodney (Nancy) Balthazor of Darboy; three brothers-in-law: Ron Kuchenbecker of Crandon, LeRoy Lyons of Appleton, and Kenneth (Barbara) Lyons of Appleton. There are also many nieces and nephews. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws: Joseph and Sally Lyons, and a sister Karen Kuchenbecker. Marlene enjoyed crafting, crocheting, reading, playing games and puzzles. Memorial services will be at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOMEĀ—TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 3212 S. Oneida Street, Menasha, with Deacon Gib Schmidt officiating. Friends may call directly at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services.
