- Elizabeth Jane "Betty" Heuvelmans, age 88, of Green Bay, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 24, 2016.
She was born on May 25, 1927, in Green Bay to the late Antone & Frances (Van Ven Roy) LeCoque.
Betty married Roland Heuvelmans on September 27, 1947 at St. Mary's Church in Green Bay. He preceded her in death on September 15, 2008.
Betty was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary Club and a member of St. Joseph Parish for over 60 years. She enjoyed playing cards and BINGO. Her family remembers her as being a phenomenal cook and baker.
Survivors include her children, Gary Heuvelmans and Tori Cavil, Green Bay; Kevin (Mary), Waukesha; Mary Chapman, Atlanta, Georgia; and Lynne (Ron) Bauman, Atlanta, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Mary Beth Heuvelmans; seven grandchildren, Gary Heuvelmans II, Elizabeth and Teresa Heuvelmans, Jacob and Christopher Heuvelmans and Lauren and Alex Bauman; three great-grandchildren, Jasmine Heuvelmans and Mikayla and Noah Heuvelmans; great-great grandchild, Sylvia Heuvelmans; sisters-in-law, Shirley Geurtz and Virginia Heuvelmans.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Susan "Sam" Heuvelmans; son, Lawrence "Larry" Heuvelmans; son-in-law, John Chapman; and 13 siblings.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, Green Bay, with a parish prayer service at 6:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1224 12th Avenue, Green Bay. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday at the church. Interment will be at Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Unity Hospice for their special care and treatment for our mother, especially Nurse Cathy.
