- Cletus J. Schauer, 86, Allouez, passed away on October 9, 2008 after a short illness, with his loving family at his side. He was born on March 17, 1922 in New Franken, WI, son of the late Louis and Lena (Schott) Schauer. He married Marion Liebergen on August 19, 1950 at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. So blessed, they celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary this summer. Cletus was an usher at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral as well as a former usher at St. Killian Parish. Clete so enjoyed kids, he coached Allouez Little League and grade school touch football. He prepared the chicken booyah for the Cathedral Athletic Club, as well as serving on the parish council and the school board. Proud he was, of ushering for the Green Bay Packers for 62 years, missing only two games in that time. Come Fall he´d say, "good time to see old friends again." He was sure the best Packer Fans sat in his section 6-8. After working 37 years for Schreiber Foods, he retired in 1985. Keeping busy he ushered at the Brown County Arena, Shopko Hall and the Resch Center. He also prepared delicious beef stew for the Room at the Inn. He was a member of the Greater Green Bay area Kiwanis Club where he enjoyed arranging their social activities. Clete so enjoyed meeting new people and playing bingo. Sundays at the family cottage weren´t complete without a good cribbage game. He is survived by his loving wife, Marion. He was a proud father, of his four sons and three daughters; Ken (Judith) Schauer, Tom (Rose) Schauer, Larry (Louisa) Schauer, Peter Schauer, Linda (Jack) Stone, Sandy Schauer, Marie (Brian) Douglas.
