    • Gladys Kathryn Gantz, 104, Green Bay, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016. She was born September 21, 1911 in Green Bay, daughter to the late Ferdinand and Catherine (Verheyden) Allen. She married George J. Gantz on May 2, 1933 at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, Green Bay, and he preceded her in death on July 3, 1996. Gladys worked at Hurkman's, Prange's, Preble Water Department, and the Green Bay Water Department. Before she was married, Gladys worked at J.C. Schilling Co. as a typist.

      Gladys was a life-long member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, where she was active in the Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed square dancing with her husband, baking, gardening, reading and crafts.

      Survivors include her three sons and daughters-in-law: Ronald (Donna) Gantz, Crivitz; George A. (Margie) Gantz, Bellevue; James (Cheryl) Gantz, Crivitz; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn ("Boots"-Clyde) Baker, New Franken; Jan (Jerry) Siudzinski, Bellevue; 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

      In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Beth and Ronn, Jr.; 3 sisters and 4 brothers; and one son-in-law, Tom Wilhelm.

      Family and friends may visit Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., Green Bay, on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., where there will be a Parish Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria St., Green Bay, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Robert Rhyner officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.

      The family extends a special thank you to Laura and Christy from Southern Care Hospice, and Carl, Tanya and staff at Century Ridge for all their care and compassion shown to Gladys and her family.
