- Betty Jean Thorson, age 69, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Carolina Manor with her loving family by her side after a courageous battle with ALS. She was born on July 26, 1944 in New London, WI; daughter of the late Rock and Beatrice (McGlin) Moder. On September 11, 1976 she was united in marriage to Jerome "Jerry" Thorson.

She enjoyed going on fishing trips with family and pontoon rides with Bob and Evie; but most of all, Betty loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Jerry; son, Rory (Karen) Kaddatz and their daughter, True; daughter, Roxanne (Bryan) Neumann and their daughters, Marissa and Mariya; daughter, Roberta "Bobbi" (John) Warnke and their daughters, Sheena (special friend, Caleb) and Shemane; step-son, Richard (Barbara) Thorson and their daughter, Brooke; step-daughter, Evette Heinzkill and her daughter, Stephanie (David) Leisure; great grandchildren, Brycen, Jordan and Silvia; six sisters, one brother and their families and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and good friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband, Gene Kaddatz, two brothers, a sister, a step-son and a grandson.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, W7265 School Rd., Greenville with the Rev. John Qualmann officiating.
