    • Ethel M. Gehring, 85, of Shiocton passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at Brewster Village in Appleton with her family by her side. She was born February 24, 1927 daughter of the late George and Carrie (Christianson) Dingeldein. On May 31, 1947 she was united in marriage to Ralph Gehring at St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church in Appleton.

      Ethel was a graduate of Appleton High School Class of 1945 and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Black Creek. She enjoyed casino trips and more casinos and Thursday morning breakfast club in Shiocton. She and Ralph have the longest membership of the Democratic Party of Outagamie County which she was very proud of.

      Survivors include her husband Ralph; children: Sandy (Bob) Abts, Forrest Junction; Larry (Marie) Gehring, Shiocton; Sheila (Tom) Omholt, Shiocton; Jim (Debbie) Gehring, Shiocton; Debbie (Randy) Behringer, Wautoma; Brad (Betty) Gehring, Appleton; Brian Gehring (special friend Caroline), Oshkosh; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister Mildred (Lee) Schuh.

      She is preceded in death by her brothers: George, Fred and Dewey; sisters: Florence, Dorothy, Marion and Violet.

      Friends may call at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Black Creek on Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until services at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Schlicht and Pastor John Brandt officiating.
