    • Mrs. Hugo (Ilene S.) Wendt, 90, Green Bay, died peacefully Sunday, January 20, 2013. She was born February 24, 1922, in Wrightstown to Charles and Alma (Wierschke) Schaeuble.

      On October 5, 1946, Ilene was united in marriage to Hugo H. Wendt at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wrightstown. They enjoyed 53 years together. Hugo preceded her in death on March 4, 1999. Ilene was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Green Bay. She enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing and playing cards, especially sheephead with her children and grandchildren. Ilene also enjoyed gardening in her younger years. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and will be missed by all.

      Ilene is survived by two children and their spouses, Susan and Gary Bero, Green Bay; Kenneth and Sandy Wendt, Appleton; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Deana and Justin Strauss, Jason Bero and special friend, Dawn; Michelle Wendt, Brian Wendt, Kurtis Bero and special friend, Sara; Ashley Wendt and special friend Steve; Kristen Wendt, Stacy Wendt; a great grandson, Jack; a sister, Marie Ayers; three sisters-in-law, Margaret Wendt, Elnora Klug and Alice Schaeuble; many other relatives and friends.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugo; her parents; a son, Roger Wendt; four brothers, Gordy, Orville, Carlton, and Pat; three sisters, Evelyn, Ruth, Edith; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

      Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 24. The Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home with Rev.
