    • Mrs. John A. Bergman, 36, 519 N. Richmond St., died Saturday noon. She had submitted to an operation Monday and her condition became serious Friday night. The body was taken to the Schommer Funeral home, and will be taken back to the residence Sunday afternoon.

      Deaths-[Appleton Post Crescent, Monday, 21 Dec, 1931, pg. 4] The funeral of Mrs. John A. Bergman, who died Saturday noon, will be held at 9:30 Tuesday morning from the home, 519 N. Richmond St., with services at 10 o'clock at St. Joseph church. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery. The body was taken from the Schommer Funeral home to the residence Sunday afternoon. Survivors are the widower; three children, Robert, a student at Mount Calvary college, Ruth and Harold at home; father, Henry Gerritts of Hollandtown: two sisters, Mrs. William Hagens, Loyal and Mrs. Ray Lang, Appleton; five brothers, William Gerritts, Appleton; Neil P., of Chicago, Theodore of Kaukauna, John and Joseph of Hollandtown. She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society of St. Josephs church, the Third Order of St. Francis and the Catholic Daughters of America.
