- Arnold Edward Fandrey, age 74, Eland, town of Elderon, died Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at Community Health Care, Wausau Hospital under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
He was born November 24, 1926 in the town of Almon, Shawano County, the son of the late Edward & Lizzie (Zwieg) Fandrey.
On July 26, 1952 Arnold was united in marriage to Stella Fuller in Shawano. She survives.
In addition to his wife, survivors include seven children, Daniel (Rosemarie) Fandrey, Norrie, John (Linda) Fandrey, Florence, CO, Cindy (Larry) Starr, Elderon, Randy Fandrey, Birnamwood, Sharon (Brett) Beilke, Antigo, Clifford (Leanne) Fandrey, Florence, CO and Kim (Jill) Fandrey, Hatley; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Albert (Ruby) Fandrey, Birnamwood, Marvin (Evelyn) Fandrey, Ringle and Herbert (Noreen) Fandrey, Birnamwood; and one sister, Irene Opper, Birnamwood.
In addition to his parents, Arnold was preceded in death by one son, Michael, five sisters, Ida Leiskau, Violet Slater, Frieda Block, Mabel and Esther Fandrey, seven brothers, Fred, Alex, Edward, Grover, John, Arthur and Raymond Fandrey and one brother in infancy.
Funeral services were held June 15, 2001 at Schmidt-Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood. The Rev. Allen Geil officiated. Interment was in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, town of Almon.
