    • Minten, Bradley J.

Brad J. Minten, 59, Kaukauna, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, November 2, 2015. Awaiting his arrival in heaven are his father Erv Minten and father-in-law Len Witzke. He was a man filled with gratitude and with that, we would like to extend a special Thank you to Dr. Wascher, Dr. Guenther and their teams for providing superior care during Brad's illness. Thank you to the many earth angels within his immediate and extended family. We send our love for your time and heartfelt acts of service on behalf of Brad. In accordance with Brad's wishes, a private family celebration was held on Friday, November 6, 2015.

Brad was born on April 14, 1956, son of Ervan and Glady (Driessen) Minten. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Lori; his children: Ryan (Vicki) Minten, Heather (Josh) Nolan and Ally (Adam) Van Dyn Hoven; his precious grandchildren: Gus and Louie Minten, Stella and Hadleigh Nolan, Milo and Molly VanDyn Hoven; his mother, Glady Minten; mother-in-law, Mona Witzke; siblings: Connie (Jeff) Elrick, Tina (Kurt) Kloehn, Joy (Mike) Reynebeau, Chris (Ann) Minten, Jenny Minten, and Eugene Pingel; and many nieces, nephews, friends and special friends "the Adrian family".

Brad worked at the Kimberly Paper Mill over 30 years. After it closed he became a full time student at Fox Valley Technical College where he made the Dean's list and received his diploma in flexographic printing.

In addition he became the full time babysitter for his grandchildren. Never saying "no" to last minute requests to help kids get on the bus or changing a diaper. His kind, non-judgemental, easy going ways were a great foundation to share with his grandchildren.

He made his children feel special by dropping off his famous cheesy broccoli soup and calling them with the best grocery deals of the week. He never missed a Sunday Packer game at his son's house and did a good job anchoring his seat well past the final play.

He was an excellent husband always providing Lori with surprise gifts like a new four wheeler that she didn't know she wanted.

The cottage on White Potato Lake was Brad's heart and soul, a place he liked to share with all. Including the infamous "Spudfest" and even more infamous "deer hunting week" where he proudly served as camp boss from 1979-1985.

Even when you didn't want to be part of Brad's shenanigans he had a way of bringing you in. Next thing you knew you're sitting around a campfire or in the garage until all hours of the morning. Brad would share many long detailed stories, complete with sound effects during these fun times. He will be truly missed.

Brad never said goodbye, he would say "take er easy" so, until we all meet again "take er easy" Dad, we Love you.
