The death of Mrs. William Coenen occurred Sunday evening about 8 o'clock at her home on George Street at the age of 75 years. Her death came quickly after being confined to her bed less than a week, although she had been ailing for the past few years. A week ago she attended church services. The cause of her death was asthma.
Mrs. Coenen was formerly Miss Anna Stiljes and she was married about forty-three years ago. Her husband still survives her. About four years ago, they moved to the city and took up their residence on George Street. Besides her husband, she is survived by six children, who are as follows: Theodore of Wrightstown, Tony of the town of De Pere, John of the town of Rockland, Mrs. Joseph Gay of the town of Lawrence, Mrs. Peter Pensier of De Pere, and Mary at home. The funeral services will be conducted from St. Mary's church Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock and the remains will be laid to rest in Mount Olivet cemetery.
