  Brown County Democrat, March 9, 1900 Fatal Accident. Peter VandeHei or Wrightstown Kicked to Death A terrible accident occurred in the town of Wrightstown Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the death of a well known settler of that town, Peter VandeHei. Mr. VandeHei had been on a visit to a sick friend and having returned home, had just unhitched his horse. He told his boy to get a blanket and when the boy returned the horse took fright from the blanket and kicked Mr. VAndeHey in the abdomen, inflicting internal injuries from which he died yesterday evening. Mr. VandeHei was about 55 years of age and leaves a large family. The funeral will be held next Monday morning from the Catholic church there.
