- Curtis J. Luedtke, age 73, of Marinette, WI passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2007 after a 20 year courageous battle with Parkinson disease. Born on November 23, 1933, he was the son of the late Walter and Caroline (Spangenberg) Luedtke.
Curtis entered the U.S. Army shortly after his brother Robert was killed in military action. Curtis was in active duty combat in the Korean War as a Forward Artillery Observer and his nickname was Lucky. He worked at the Thompson Boat Co. and Scott Paper Mill for 23 years before his illness forced him to retire. His favorite pastime was hunting, fishing, gardening and yardwork.
Curtis is survived by son: Chris Luedtke and fiancé Trina of Luxemberg, WI; Grandsons, Brian and Michael;
Son: Robin (Toni) Luedtke of Marinette, WI;
One brother, William (Judy) Luedtke of Peshtigo, WI.
He is also survived by, a longtime special best friend, Rosemary Carviou of Marinette and family; Terri Renne (Tim Paulsen), Tina (Brian) Smith, Tricia (Brian) Lindquist
And also their children who loved and cared for him, Trev, Haley, Nathan, Lacey and Jordan.
Special friend, Ron Kaempf and His favorite dog, Snickers.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by, a daughter, Mary Alice, 2 brothers, Earl and Robert, 3 sisters, Lila Wood, Verna Sieloff, Shirley Follett.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 9, at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Military and funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Peshtigo Riverside Cemetery
