    • Roger W. "Col." Heindl, age 78, of Kaukauna, passed away on August 21, 2016. He was born on July 18, 1938, son of the late Andrew and Mildred (Riley) Heindl and he graduated from Kaukauna High school in the class of 1956.

      Col. Roger proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. He worked at Kobussen Busses as a mechanic for over 43 years. Col. Roger's true passion was for auctions. Buying and selling things was his specialty. He was an auctioneer for over 40 years and owned "Major Auction" and later "Major Sales."

      Col. Roger is survived by his son, Le Roy (Lisa) Heindl; daughters: Ginger Heindl and Virginia Ann Heindl; and a grandson, Eric Heindl. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Janet Heindl; and a daughter, Angela Heindl.

      A memorial celebration will be held TODAY, Sunday, September 18, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Vandenbroek Town Hall, located on the corner of Hwy 55 and Cty Road JJ. A private family burial has taken place at Kelso Cemetery, Kaukauna.
