Jane Elizabeth Verboomen, 88, died peacefully on January 15, 2024. Jane was born on August 26, 1935 in Milwaukee to the late Alphonsus and Mildred (O’Neil) McNulty. Jane was an only child and was very proud of being 100% Irish heritage. Jane grew up in Manitowoc and attended Lincoln High School graduating in 1953. She worked as a Nurse’s Aide for 20 years at St. Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay. Jane married Paul Verboomen at St. Paul Catholic Church in Wrightstown in 1975. They lived in Wrightstown, where Jane enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and singing in the St. Paul’s Martha Choir. In retirement, Paul and Jane moved to Wheeler Lake in Lakewood, where they were very active playing cards and golfing with their friends. Jane belonged to the McCauslin Brook Lioness Club and enjoyed singing in the St. Mary’s of the Lake Choir in Lakewood. They enjoyed hosting family get togethers in the summer and snowmobile parties in the winter. After Paul’s passing, Jane moved to De Pere for several years before moving to The Landings of Kaukauna Memory Care.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Linda Verboomen, cousins, nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Alphonsus and Mildred McNulty, husband Paul Verboomen, brothers and sisters-in-law Romuald (Kay) Verboomen, Josephine (John) Stienen, Clarence (Roseann) Verboomen, Leonard Verboomen, and Carl Verboomen.

Funeral services will be held at St. Clare Catholic Church – St. Paul Site, 437 Main St, Wrightstown on Friday, January 19, 2024. Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 am. Visitation will be held from 10:00-10:45 am followed by Mass at 11:00 am. Burial will be at a later date at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Wrightstown.

A special thank you to Dan and Doris Verboomen for their special care of Jane’s needs. We would like to thank the caregivers at The Landings of Kaukauna Memory Care. You did much to make Jane comfortable in the last year. Thank you to St. Croix Hospice who cared for Jane in her last weeks.
