- My Grandma's Life as a Kid
My grandma's full name is Rosella Lucy Ebben. Her maiden name is Diedrick. When she was little, she liked to play house with her sisters. She has 5 sisters and 2 brothers. She used to work at Prange's Department Store as a computer operator. She has always lived on Buchanan Street, Little Chute, Wisconsin.
When she was ten years old, she crawled in their white wicker baby buggy, wearing a bonnet, and holding a bottle. They had to put wood blocks underneath the buggy for extra strength. She still has the picture and it is funny. Her favorite phrase is "If you can't be good, be careful. " Her favorite sport is baseball and she is still good at throwing a baseball. She has never known how to play any instruments, but she is pretty good at working the radio. One song that she still remembers from 1st grade is Patty Put a Penny in her Pocket. Here it is.
"Patty put a penny in her pocket. She ran with it into the candy store. She felt into her pocket for her penny. But the penny wasn't in there anymore. No, the penny wasn't in there anymore. Patty started home to find her penny, and on the way she met a great big man. She told him she had lost her only penny and she said to him , please help me if you can. Look in all your pockets for your penny, the big policeman had her look once more. Patty found her penny in her pocket, and she ran with it back to the candy store. And she ran with it back to the candy store!"
It is pretty cool that she still remembers that. My grandma is awesome.
