    • Bernard J. "Bud" Blodgett, 74, Allouez, passed away on Friday, Oct. 11, 2002 at St. Vincent Hospital with his family by his side. Bud was born on Aug. 17, 1928 in Green Bay the son of the late Lawrence and Geraldine (Huguet) Blodgett. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. Bud served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

      On Nov. 24, 1955, he married the former Bernadette Vandenhoven and the couple would have celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary next month. Bud was also employed at Milprint Inc. for over 37 years until his retirement in 1990. He also worked for the Village of Allouez in the Park and Recreation Department.

      Bud liked to go fishing, especially for perch, and enjoyed working in his yard and tending to his garden. He loved his family very much and cherished the moments spent with Bunny, his children and grandchildren.

      Bud is survived by his loving wide Bernadette "Bunny," Allouez; two daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and Rick Knaus, Green Bay and Sue and Jim Corpus, Green Bay; one son, Mike Blodgett and his fiance Nikki Weber, Green Bay; nine grandchildren, Josh, Jake, Amanda and Molly Blodgett, Christina Kurowski and her fiance Adam Charniak, Michael Jr. and Katie Kurowski, Valorie and Jenny Knaus, Ashli, Chelsi and Casey Weber; one great-grandson Zach Charniak; one brother, Herbert Blodgett; six sisters and three brothers-in-law, Ginny Kocken, Doris Bergsbaken, Joan and Bob Lange, Judy Girard, Pat and Dick Dickenshied, Bonnie and Bruce Ziegelbauer; two sisters-in-law and Rita Huven, Ilene and Leo Charlier, one brother-in-law, Milton and Evie Vandenhoven; and is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

      He was preceded in death by one sister-in-law Jackie Blodgett; three brothers-in-law Chris kocken, Bill Bergsbaken and Cy Huven. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday Oct. 14, 2002 at Schauer and Schumacher Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave. Parish Wake Service 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will continue after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 15, 2002 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2575 S. Webster Ave. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Larry Seidl officiating. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
