- Eleanor Bintzler, 88, former resident of Chili, died Nov. 21, 2011, in Paradise, Calif.
A memorial mass will be celebrated today, Nov. 30. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Gate of Heaven, in Marshfield.
Eleanor was born May 28, 1923, in Stratford to William and Mayme (Hopfensperger) Stuhr. She married Henry Bintzler on Nov. 12, 1941. They owned and operated farms in Rozellville and Chili for nearly 35 years. After retirement, she and Henry toured nearly all of the 50 states and resided near their daughters in Massachusetts, New York and California.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean (James) Myers of Paradise, Calif., and Janet (John) Cerella of Wellesley, Mass.; two grandchildren, Steven Gleisner of Bismarck, Mo., and Lian Cerella of New Brunswick, N.J. and Wellesley, Mass.; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mildred Ermis and Leona Wachholz.
She was predeceased by her husband, Henry; her parents; brothers, Harold and Irvin; sisters, Delma Roehl and Margaret Foss; and granddaughter, Linda Gleisner.
