Notes - Frederick C. "Fritz" Heiss, age 80, Colonel, USAF, Retired, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015. He leaves behind his best friend and beloved wife of 60 years, Helen Wilz Heiss; four daughters, Amy Robbins, Rebecca Heiss, Jennifer Heiss, (Amber) and Margaret Roark, (Gene) and son, Kurt Heiss, (Miki). His parents, Clayton and Margaret Heiss preceded him in death, as did his first son, James. Fritz also says goodbye to his six beautiful grandchildren; Margaret Robbins, Melissa Labay, (Brian), Delaney and Cassidy Roark, Marli and Hunter Heiss. His brothers and sisters, Jerome Heiss, (Marie), Robert Heiss, (Tom), Joan Jesse, and Jean Jahnke, (Ron), and many loving nieces and nephews.
Fritz was a man who loved life, his family, his country, and all children. He will be remembered as a dedicated Military officer, devoted husband, loving father and a generous Opa.
Any tributes in the form of donations can be given to the Lupus Foundation of America, The Hill Country Youth Ranch, Ingram, TX,. or the Air Force Security Forces Association.
