    • Luxemburg - Ronald J. Zehren, 79 of Luxemburg, died Wednesday evening, August 01, 2018 at Aurora Hospital, Green Bay. He was born August 05, 1938 in Bay Settlement to the late Leo J. and Leona M. (Kuipers) Zehren. He was a 1957 graduate of East High School. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from March of 1960 to September of 1960. On September 01, 1962, Ron married Janet M. Cravillion at St. Odile Church in Thiry Daems. Ron began his career with Packerland Packing, the Green Bay Police Department and Clairmont Transfer, each for three plus years. Finally, he farmed in the Luxemburg area along with working for Beyers AI. He could often be seen serving the general public and sharing a card game at Burdick's Bar in Luxemburg. His enjoyments included time spent at Captains Cove, fishing, hunting, playing cards with friends and most of all spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

      Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Jan and their four children, Scott (Brenda) Zehren, Casco; Tina (Ron) Alsteen, Brenda (Todd) Burdick, all of Luxemburg; Kelly (soulmate, Kathy Kinnard) Zehren, Casco; eight grandchildren, Eric (Kara) Zehren, Adam (Marissa) Zehren, Matt (Amanda) Alsteen, Megan (friend, Josh) Alsteen, Luke (Devan) Burdick, Sami (Chad) Cichy, Miranda Zehren, Rachael Zehren; four great grandchildren, Cayden, Colton, Callie and Henley; ten step grandchildren, Miranda, Abigail, Jodi, Chad (Julya), Nick (Jane), Bill (Mary), Katie (Chris), Kraig (Nikki), Kyler, Mariah; fourteen step great grandchildren; three brothers, Marty (Ihla) Zehren, Leroy (Duane) Zehren, Dale (Sandie) Zehren, all of Green Bay; brothers in law and sisters and law, Jim (Sherry) Cravillion, Champion; Sharon (Wayne) Raether, Lila (Bryan) Ellerbrock, all of Algoma; Linda (Jerry) Zellner, Luxemburg; many nieces and nephews.

      Ron was preceded in death by one brother in law, Bruce McCosky; his father in law and his mother in law, Cyril and Mabel Cravillion.

      Friends may call at McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 2:00 to 5:30 pm on Sunday, August 05, 2018. Closing parish prayer service at 5:30 pm on Sunday with Cheryl Maricque, Pastoral Minister. Visitation will continue at St. Thomas The Apostle Church, Sugarbush, between 9:15 and 10:45 am on Monday, August 06, 2018. Funeral 11:00 am on Monday at the church with Rev. Carlo Villaluz officiating. Burial in St. Odile Cemetery, Thiry Daems.

      The family wishes to extend a thank you to Dr. Nawaz, Jennifer and Melissa as well as the special staff of Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic and the first-floor nurses of ABMC. We also would like to thank Ron's guardian angel on earth, Tom Joosten, our friends and family, especially Kathy and Don Beyer, for bringing such support to our lives.
