Jake E. Lamers, 72, 215 Elm St., Kimberly died Sunday morning following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly. He was born September 25, 1903 at Chili, Wis. Lamers lived in the Kimberly area all of his life. Prior to hes retirement he was employed by Kimbery Clark Corp. as a millwright. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of his church and a Quarter Century Member of Kimberly Clark Corp.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Weyenberg Lamers; one daughter, Mrs. Otto (Betty) Diestler, Hortenville; one son, John E. Lamers, Kaukauna; one brother, Harold of Kimberly; three sisters, Mrs. Wm (Jean) Bonzelet, Kimberly; Mrs. Henry (Martha) Weyenberg and Mrs. Joe (Rose) Sanderfoot, both Little Chute; two grandchildren, Mary and Scott.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his brothers, George, Theo, Clarence and John; two sisters, Josephine and Hattie. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church with the Rev. Ronald Hopfensperger will officiating. Burial will be in the parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the Jansen-Fargo Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Monday. There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Monday.
